# Noivion

> Noivion develops and manufactures Ionized Jet Deposition (IJD) systems for thin-film coating and pulsed ion implantation, and runs an IJD coating service. Low-temperature, multi-material PVD from lab to industrial scale. Companies: Noivion Coating s.r.o. (Říčany, Czech Republic) and Noivion S.r.l. (Rovereto, Italy). IJD invented by Petr Nozar.

## Deposition & implantation systems
- **NOIVITRON** — industrial, 10 IJD guns (2×5), 650 l chamber, Ø700 mm carousel; simultaneous dual-material coating, hybrid nanolayers, serial production.
- **NOIVITRON PII** — industrial pulsed ion implantation; O/N/C ions up to 10 µm into metals; hardness up to +400 %, no layer to peel.
- **Lab Jet 1.0 / 4.0 / 6.0 / 8.0** — R&D and pilot IJD systems (25–690 l chambers, substrates 2"–12", heating to 800 °C, load-lock).
- **AtOx System** — turn-key atomic-oxygen generator for LEO material testing (see https://atox.space).
- **Custom / retrofit** — bespoke systems, or retrofit an IJD gun onto an existing vacuum chamber.

## Technology (IJD)
Pulsed-electron-beam PVD (successor of channel-spark). Cold coating (≤120 °C), 1:1 target→film stoichiometry, up to 4 materials in one run incl. graded multilayers, ~30× more energy-efficient than PLD. Source: up to 25 kV, 5 kA, 10 J pulse. Films: DLC, TiN, (TiAl)N, MoS₂, TiO₂, CeO₂, ZrO₂, Al₂O₃, AZO, HAp, YBCO & composites.
